By using HomeFood you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. The Platform

HomeFood is an online marketplace that connects home cooks ("Caterers") with customers who wish to purchase home-cooked meals ("Customers"). We facilitate the transaction but are not a party to the sale of food between Caterers and Customers.

2. Caterer Responsibilities

  • Caterers are responsible for complying with all applicable local health, food safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Caterers must accurately describe their food items, including ingredients relevant to common allergens.
  • Caterers must fulfil orders placed through the platform on the scheduled date.
  • HomeFood is not liable for food quality, safety, or any harm resulting from food prepared by Caterers.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must provide accurate contact and payment information when placing orders.
  • Customers are responsible for picking up their orders at the scheduled time and location.
  • Customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions must verify ingredients with the Caterer directly.

4. Orders and Payments

Payment is collected directly by the Caterer at pickup (cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or other agreed method). HomeFood does not process payments on behalf of Caterers. Refund and cancellation policies are set by each individual Caterer.

5. Prohibited Use

  • You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • You may not submit false or fraudulent orders.

6. Limitation of Liability

HomeFood provides the platform "as is" and makes no warranties regarding uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeFood is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
